Amazon Web Services (AWS) has expanded its payment options by adding support for eight additional local currencies. Effective January 8, 2025, customers can pay their AWS invoices in the following currencies:
- US Region: Chilean Peso (CLP), Colombian Peso (COP), and Uruguayan Peso (UYU).
- Europe Region: Egyptian Pound (EGP), Nigerian Naira (NGN), Polish Zloty (PLN), Romanian Leu (RON), and Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH).
To update payment preferences, users can navigate to the AWS Billing and Cost Management console, edit their “Payment Preferences,” and select a preferred currency from the dropdown menu. Future invoices will be generated in the chosen currency once the change is saved.
This move by AWS enhances convenience for global customers, enabling localized payments and reducing the need for currency conversions.
For additional information, customers can visit the AWS Billing and Cost Management Console or contact AWS Support.
