The Bauchi State Task Force on COVID-19 and Lassa fever has emphasized the need for the citizens of the state to adhere strictly to the protocols on measures against infection with the virus.
The State Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela gave the advice while addressing journalists at the Government House Bauchi.
Senator Baba Tela who is the Chairman of the Committee expressed concern on the non-compliance by the people of the state especially in observing social distancing, hand washing and the use of sanitizers.
According to him, the level of compliance in the state on all the protocols advanced by experts is at zero levels, the development he said can force the government to come up with new modalities.
On the recent visit by the Security Committee of the Task Force to all the borders of the state, the chairman who was disappointed in the level of compliance, said measures will be put in place to ensure adherence.
The Deputy Governor announced a donation of hand sanitizers produced by the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi.
