Daiyabu Dauda Urges Plateau Pilgrims to Uphold Discipline During Hajj 2026

Plateau pilgrims complete Umrah as committees begin coordination for Hajj 2026 operations in Saudi Arabia.

The Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Hon. Daiyabu Dauda, has called on Plateau State pilgrims performing the 2026 Hajj to conduct themselves responsibly and project the state positively throughout the spiritual exercise in Saudi Arabia.

Hon. Daiyabu Dauda urged the pilgrims to obey all guidelines and comply with the rules and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the Hajj period.

He assured the pilgrims that the board remains committed to protecting their welfare and ensuring smooth coordination throughout the pilgrimage activities.

The Executive Secretary also stressed the importance of discipline, unity, and cooperation among pilgrims as they prepare for the major Hajj rites in Makkah and Mina.

To strengthen coordination and ensure effective management, Hon. Daiyabu Dauda inaugurated several operational committees for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The Central Working Committee is chaired by Ahmed Idris Wase, while Hon. Daiyabu Dauda serves as secretary.

The Disciplinary Committee is headed by Justice Yahaya Muhammad Kanam, with Hajiya Aishatu Ibrahim Sale serving as secretary.

Other committees inaugurated include the Hadaya Committee chaired by Alhaji Abdullahi Danladi Kwari, the Publicity and Enlightenment Committee headed by Alhaji Muhammad Salihu Nyalun, and the Feeding Committee chaired by Hajiya Jamila Shehu Gwandu.

Additional committees include the Medical and Sanitation Committee chaired by Dr. Hajiya Sadiya Ibrahim Yaro, the Transport Committee chaired by Hon. Muhammad Zakari Kwalu, the Luggage Committee headed by Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi, and the Preachers Committee led by Imam Aminu Yusuf Nuhu.

Meanwhile, all Plateau State pilgrims have safely arrived in Makkah after completing their stay in Madina.

According to the board, the first batch departed Madina for Makkah on Saturday, May 9, while the second batch travelled on Sunday, May 10. The final batch arrived in Makkah on Monday, May 11.

After successfully performing Umrah, the pilgrims have now settled in Makkah and continue to observe prayers at Masjid al-Haram ahead of the commencement of the main Hajj rites on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah in Mina.

Observers say the early establishment of operational committees reflects Hon. Daiyabu Dauda’s focus on coordination, welfare management, and smooth administration of the Plateau State contingent during the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The move is also expected to improve communication, logistics, medical support, and discipline among the pilgrims throughout their stay in the holy land.

As Plateau pilgrims prepare for the main Hajj rites, the Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board says it remains committed to ensuring a successful, peaceful, and spiritually rewarding pilgrimage for all participants.
