DiceBox Innovation Hub (DI-Hub), a prominent innovation and business incubation center supporting tech-based and Agritech startups, held its inaugural Midein edition alumni reunion on Saturday 21 September 2024. Co-founded by Aminu Bin Ibrahim and Idris Dangana, DI-Hub continues to nurture fresh ideas and encourage entrepreneurship in Northern Nigeria.
The reunion saw several alumni and key stakeholders in attendance, as Mr. Aminu Bin and Mr. Dangana called on alumni to continue innovating, collaborating, and offering solutions to both small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Northern Nigeria and globally.
Several innovative solutions were presented during the event, including BitCoop and My Likita, among others. The BitCoops platform, designed to automate cooperative society savings, loans, and memberships, has already attracted the interest of 35 national cooperatives, according to Prince Ajisefinni A. Tajuddeen, Business Development Manager at BrainStorm IT Solutions.
Mr. Idris Dangana also shared insights on the E-Budget and Treasury Management Platform, which is currently under discussion with top entities. The platform called the Treasury Budget, Expenditure, and Accountability Management System (TBEAMS), and the IGR platform, known as the Kano State Integrated Revenue Management and Assurance System (KIRMAS), are being developed and implemented to the Kano State Government. Similarly, KTEB and KIFIS are being developed to the Katsina State Government. He also hinted at more solutions being developed by BrainStorm IT Solutions, which will soon be available via mobile apps, web, and USSD codes.

The reunion also featured discussions on fostering collaborations in AI, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing. Attendees agreed to hold the reunion at least once or twice a year to maintain momentum and drive further innovation.
In addition to alumni, a team of developers, cybersecurity experts, and business managers from various organizations were present to network and share ideas.
This reunion marks the beginning of a new chapter for DI-Hub, as it continues to build a community of innovators and entrepreneurs dedicated to solving pressing challenges in Nigeria and beyond.
