His Royal Highness, Alhaji Nuhu Ahmad Wabi, MNI, the Emir of Jama’are, on Saturday, May 10, 2025, presided over a historic and colourful turbaning ceremony, conferring traditional titles on 11 distinguished individuals at the Jama’are Emirate.
Among the newly turbanned titleholders were five close associates who were honoured with prestigious titles within the emirate. They include:
• Mohammed Wada Jarma – Dan’adala
• Kabiru Ahmed Wabi – Danburan
• Aliyu Ahmed Wabi – Magajin Gari
• Babayo Aliyu – Walin Gabas
• Sabo Buba – Kilishi
Also recognized during the event was Dr. Aliyu Ahmed Mado, who was honoured with the title of Wakilin Tarihi, acknowledging his contributions to preserving the emirate’s history and heritage.
The event, witnessed by members of the Emirate Council, invited dignitaries, family, and friends, was described as a momentous occasion that reinforced the rich cultural legacy of Jama’are and symbolized continued leadership renewal within the traditional institution.
Mohammed Rabiu Wada, who presented the celebrants before the Emir and the council, expressed gratitude to the monarch and prayed for the newly turbanned titleholders to make meaningful contributions to the peace, unity, and progress of Jama’are Emirate.
“It was truly a historic and colourful event. We congratulate the celebrants and pray that their new roles will bring positive impact to the community,” he stated.
The Jama’are Emirate, one of the prominent traditional institutions in Bauchi State, continues to play a vital role in fostering communal harmony, cultural preservation, and local development.
