The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Tanimu Turaki (SAN) and backed by PDP governors, has confirmed the commencement of a fresh reconciliation process aimed at uniting aggrieved factions within the party.
Turaki disclosed this while speaking to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, noting that the reconciliation efforts, which began last night, are already showing signs of progress.
He said, “I can confirm that leaders of both sides are now working towards solutions. From last night, those benefiting from the crisis and opposing reconciliation have been shut out. Since then, both sides have started making some progress.”
Turaki also urged party supporters to exercise restraint to avoid undermining the ongoing reconciliation process, stressing that hope is not lost and efforts to restore unity are continuing.
