Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has undertaken a significant reshuffling of his cabinet, leading to the removal of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), the Chief of Staff to the Governor, and five commissioners.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor explained that the reshuffle is part of a strategic political realignment aimed at optimizing performance and delivering more dividends of democracy to the people of Kano State.

- The Chief of Staff, Alh. Shehu Wada Sagagi, had his office scrapped.
- The SSG, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, was dropped due to health reasons.

- Barr. Haruna Isa Dederi (Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice)
- Dr. Danjuma Mahmoud (Commissioner for Agriculture)

- Hon. Abduljabbar Mohammed Umar (Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning)

- Comrade Aminu Abdulssalam, Deputy Governor, moved from Local Government to Higher Education.
- Hon. Mohammad Tajo Usman, transferred from Science and Technology to Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
- Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata, moved from Higher Education to Science, Technology, and Innovation.
