KANO — In a continued effort to promote traffic discipline and public awareness, the Deputy Managing Director of the Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), Auwalu Lawan Shuaibu (popularly known as Aranposu), on Tuesday 15 April 2025, led a public enlightenment tour across key locations in Kano where new traffic lights have been recently installed.
The installations, spearheaded by the administration of His Excellency, Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, aim to improve traffic flow and enhance road safety in the state.
During the tour, Aranposu, accompanied by KAROTA personnel, engaged with motorists, commercial drivers, and pedestrians, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic rules and respecting the newly installed traffic signals.
“We are here to educate the public and support the vision of our hardworking governor in making Kano roads safer and more orderly,” Aranposu stated during one of the stops. “Compliance with traffic laws not only protects lives but also contributes to the overall development of our state.”
Residents and road users at various locations expressed their appreciation for the new traffic infrastructure and commended the dedication of KAROTA officers for maintaining discipline on the roads.
The initiative reflects the growing commitment of the Kano State Government and KAROTA to foster a culture of traffic safety, reduce accidents, and ensure a more organized transportation system across the state.
