Nancy Guthrie Disappearance: Savannah Guthrie Says “We Still Believe” as FBI Analyzes DNA Evidence

Savannah Guthrie says hope remains in the search for Nancy Guthrie, as investigators continue to examine new forensic evidence.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that a glove recovered near the victim’s home  matching one worn by a person seen in surveillance footage on the morning of the abduction  contains the DNA of an unidentified male. A multi-agency task force is awaiting further forensic results.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump told the New York Post that those responsible could face the harshest federal punishment if the 84-year-old is not returned safely. He said he would direct the US Department of Justice to pursue the “most severe” penalties, confirming this could include the death penalty.

Capital punishment is permitted under certain conditions in Arizona, which carried out two executions in 2025 and three in 2022.
