Plateau State Governor Approves Immediate Implementation of N70,000 Minimum Wage

Plateau State workers have received a significant boost as the Executive Governor, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has approved the immediate implementation of a new N70,000 minimum wage. This development follows the agreement reached by the Committee on Consequential Adjustment on Salaries on November 13, 2024.

In a press release signed by the Head of Civil Service, Stephen Pam Gadong, the Governor reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of the state’s workforce. He emphasized that the implementation of the new minimum wage underscores the government’s recognition of civil servants’ critical role in driving Plateau’s developmental goals.

Governor Mutfwang urged all civil servants to reciprocate this gesture by demonstrating renewed dedication and excellence in service delivery. The administration believes that this policy will not only improve the standard of living for workers but also foster a culture of productivity and commitment across the state.

With the new wage structure in place, Plateau State continues to set a precedent in prioritizing the welfare of its workforce.
