EFCC Arrests Kannywood Actress Samha Inuwa Over Alleged Naira Abuse

The Kano Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Kannywood actress Samha Inuwa over an alleged act of naira mutilation.

The arrest took place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, following the circulation of a viral video on social media in which the actress was allegedly seen using naira notes to wipe mucus from her nose.

According to the Commission, the video prompted an investigation that led to the identification and arrest of the actress for questioning over the alleged offence.

Samha Inuwa is currently in custody at the EFCC detention facility in Kano as investigations continue.

The Commission stated that she will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
