Kadarko Axis Endorses Wase for 2027

Stakeholders in Wase LGA declare support for Ahmed Idris Wase ahead of the 2027 elections.

Leaders and residents of the Kadarko Axis in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State on Friday, April 24, 2026, officially endorsed Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, as their preferred candidate for the 2027 general elections, citing his record of leadership and development.

The endorsement followed a stakeholders’ meeting attended by community leaders, party officials, youth representatives, and support groups across the Kadarko and Mavo chiefdoms, described as the largest voting bloc in the Wase political structure. Participants said the decision was reached after reviewing Wase’s performance and long-standing relationship with the constituency.

The gathering also acknowledged national and state leadership, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, commending their contributions to governance and development. The emergence of APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, was also noted as a positive development for the party.

Speakers at the meeting highlighted several projects and interventions attributed to Wase’s tenure, including road construction, water supply initiatives, education and healthcare infrastructure, and employment opportunities. They argued that these efforts have significantly improved living conditions within the constituency.

While recognizing ongoing political interests ahead of the 2027 elections, the stakeholders called for unity among residents and urged against divisive narratives. They dismissed calls for zoning arrangements as politically motivated, emphasizing continuity based on performance.

The group further resolved to mobilize voters, monitor electoral processes, and ensure that their collective mandate is protected during both party primaries and the general elections.

The Kadarko Axis stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Ahmed Idris Wase, stating that their decision is based on past performance and expectations for continued development. They urged constituents to remain united and focused as preparations for the 2027 elections progress.
