The Bauchi State Government has approved the appointment of Dr. Muhammad Mujtaba Abdulkadir as the Provost of A.D. Rufai College of Education, Legal and General Studies, Misau.
The appointment was conveyed in an official letter issued by the Bauchi State Ministry of Higher Education and Regional Integration and signed on behalf of the state government.According to the appointment letter, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed approved the appointment for a single tenure of five years.
The appointment took effect from June 4, 2026. Before his appointment, Dr. Muhammad Mujtaba Abdulkadir served at A.D. Rufai College of Education, Legal and General Studies, Misau, where he built a reputation in academic and administrative leadership.
The Bauchi State Government stated that the appointment was based on Dr. Abdulkadir’s academic achievements, professional experience, leadership qualities, and commitment to service. The government expressed confidence in his ability to reposition the institution and address emerging challenges facing the college.
According to the letter, the new Provost is expected to deploy his expertise and leadership skills to strengthen academic standards, institutional development, and effective administration within the college.
The government also noted that it expects the new Provost to harness the full potential of the institution and provide strategic direction that will enhance teaching, learning, and research.
His remuneration and conditions of service will be guided by the applicable regulations governing Colleges of Education in Bauchi State.
