Bauchi State Government has lockdown the state with effect from the 2nd of April for the period of 14 days

Bauchi State Government has lockdown the state with effect from the 2nd of April for the period of 14 days as part of effort to control the spread of coronavirus in the state.

A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Mohammed Sabiu Baba said under the period, all borders to the state will be closed.

According to the statement, Governor Bala Mohammed while appreciating the sacrifice of the citizens of the state in these agonizing times, called for continuous prayers.

It indicated that, all these measures are aimed at curtailing the spread of coronavirus outbreak that is threatening the society.

The statement said the governor has directed that in order for the public to secure food items, movement will be allowed between 10:00 am to 40:00 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays while the ban does not affect essential services.
