Governor Uba Sani Assents to Law Establishing Kaduna State College of Agricultural Technology and Environmental Sciences, Lere

In a major step toward advancing agricultural innovation and environmental education, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has officially assented to the Law establishing the Kaduna State College of Agricultural Technology and Environmental Sciences, Lere Local Government Area.

The law, which was sponsored by a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, marks a transformative milestone in the state’s drive to enhance access to specialized education and equip youth with practical skills for sustainable development.

Speaking after the signing, the lawmaker expressed deep appreciation to Governor Uba Sani for his visionary leadership and commitment to educational advancement, describing the development as “a new dawn for innovation in agriculture and environmental sciences.”

“This marks a transformative step toward enhancing access to specialized education, fostering innovation in agriculture and environmental sciences, and empowering our youth with practical skills for sustainable development,” he said.

He further noted that the establishment of the institution will serve as a catalyst for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, particularly in the areas of food security, climate resilience, and sustainable resource management.

Governor Uba Sani reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to expanding opportunities in technical and vocational education, ensuring that young people in Kaduna State acquire the knowledge and capacity to drive modern agricultural practices and environmental sustainability.

“We are building a future where education, technology, and innovation become the foundation of economic growth and human capital development in Kaduna State,” the governor emphasized.

The newly established College of Agricultural Technology and Environmental Sciences is expected to attract students, researchers, and experts from across the region, positioning Lere as a hub for agricultural and environmental advancement.

The lawmaker concluded by pledging continued collaboration with the state government and relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the new law.
