How Dr Sameera Abubakar Supports Local Communities

In a society where many women, youths, and vulnerable children continue to face economic hardship and limited access to opportunities, the efforts of Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi have continued to stand out as a beacon of hope and empowerment across Kano State and beyond.

Driven by her passion for entrepreneurship, education, and humanitarian service, Amb. Dr. Sameera founded the Better Life for Women and Children Future Foundation (BLWCFF) and the Better Life for Women Network (BLWN) with the vision of improving the lives of disadvantaged communities, especially women, youths, orphans, and vulnerable children.

Over the years, the foundation has made remarkable contributions in the areas of education, healthcare, skills acquisition, and economic empowerment, positively impacting more than 6,000 women and youths across the 44 local government areas of Kano State, and Nigeria at large.

One of the major areas of intervention by the foundation is education support for vulnerable communities. Through scholarships and educational assistance programs, the foundation has helped many orphans and underprivileged children gain access to quality education. The organization regularly distributes reading and writing materials to students, easing the burden on struggling families and encouraging academic excellence among young learners.

The foundation has also continued to improve access to healthcare services at the grassroots level by organizing medical outreach programs and distributing free medicines to vulnerable individuals in local communities. These interventions have provided relief to many families who lack adequate access to healthcare facilities and essential medications.

Recognizing the importance of economic independence, Amb. Dr. Sameera has placed strong emphasis on empowering women and youths through practical skills acquisition programs. Under her leadership, the foundation has trained thousands of beneficiaries in various vocational and entrepreneurial skills designed to promote self reliance and sustainable livelihoods.

The skills acquisition initiatives include fashion and tailoring design, makeup and beauty services, food services and baking, digital marketing and business marketing strategies, fish farming, poultry farming, bio gas production, charcoal production, photography and video editing, solar power installation, mobile phone repairs, 3D floor installation, web design and management, vegetable production, media consultancy, and film production, among several others.

These programs have enabled many beneficiaries to establish small businesses, create employment opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to the economic development of their communities.

Beyond her humanitarian activities, Amb. Dr. Sameera is also a successful entrepreneur and business leader. She serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MHS Universal Investment Limited, a company specializing in agro products and commodities. She is equally the CEO of Samaan Intercontinental Resource Ltd, a company involved in general services, and the Co-Founder of Brainstorm IT Solutions Ltd, a firm focused on financial and IT-related electronic solutions. In addition, she is the founder of Saman Oil and Gas.

Through strategic partnerships with local and international organizations, government agencies, and other foundations, her initiatives have continued to expand their reach and impact. Her commitment to humanitarian service and community development has earned her widespread recognition and numerous awards, particularly across northern Nigeria.

For many women, youths, and vulnerable children in Kano State and other parts of the country, Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi represents more than just a philanthropist; she symbolizes hope, empowerment, and a brighter future. Through her foundation and continuous community based interventions, she continues to transform lives and inspire positive change across society.
