JED Establishes West of Mines Business Unit in Plateau

Jos Electricity Distribution (JED) Plc has announced the establishment of the West of Mines Business Unit in Plateau State. The initiative is part of the company’s efforts to decentralize operations and bring services closer to customers. The new unit will cover 14 feeders and their respective service areas.
This strategic initiative is part of JED’s continuous efforts to decentralize operations, bring services closer to customers, and enhance service delivery. The company aims to achieve improved accessibility, faster response times, and strengthened customer engagement through this realignment.
The West of Mines Business Unit will manage 14 feeders, serving major areas including Dung Kassa, Old JUTH, Murtala Mohammed Way, Rantya, Federal Low-Cost, Tafawa Balewa Road, Anguwan Jarawa, Zaria Road, Rukuba Road, Dilimi, and others. The unit will also serve areas like Kwang Village, Bassa Community, and Jenta Makeri.
The West of Mines Business Unit office is located at the NUEE North-East Zonal Secretariat, No. 5, Tafawa Balewa Street, Grey Garden, West of Mines, Jos, Plateau State. Customers can visit the office for inquiries and service-related matters.
JED Plc assured customers that this operational realignment will not disrupt existing services. Rather, it is aimed at improving service delivery and ensuring greater operational efficiency. Customers may continue to lodge complaints and access services at any JED Plc office, regardless of the business unit responsible for their location.
