PDP Will Rise Again in Plateau – Hon Nuru Shehu Jos
Hon. Nuru Shehu Jos declares PDP remains Plateau's hope. He dismisses propaganda about multiple candidates and says people are ready to reclaim the state.

Hon. Nuru Shehu Jos has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remains the hope of Plateau State ahead of the 2027 governorship election. He dismissed claims that the party has multiple candidates and described such reports as political propaganda.
Hon. Nuru said the PDP remains one united political party despite the growing number of governorship aspirants within the platform.
According to him, all aspirants contesting under the PDP remain loyal party members working toward the same goal of restoring the state.
He urged supporters and residents to ignore misinformation spreading on social media.
“The PDP remains strong, united, and focused on rescuing Plateau State,” he stated.
Hon. Nuru criticized the present administration over insecurity, poor infrastructure, weak healthcare delivery, and lack of economic empowerment.
He argued that Plateau people have already witnessed what he described as the failure of the current government.
According to him, citizens continue to suffer from insecurity, unemployment, and underdevelopment across many communities.
He added that the people now understand the difference between political propaganda and reality.
Hon. Nuru stated that any of the 12 PDP governorship aspirants can defeat the current administration in the 2027 election.
He recalled that before the 2023 election, opponents claimed the PDP lacked structure in Plateau State. However, he said the party still secured victory because citizens trusted its leadership.
He also expressed confidence that Plateau voters would once again support the PDP in the next election cycle.
“If Plateau people voted out a previous administration and supported PDP before, they can do it again,” he said.
Hon. Nuru said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would eventually recognize the authentic PDP governorship candidate after the party process concludes.
He explained that whoever emerges as the official candidate would receive the support of PDP members and many Plateau residents.
According to him, the party remains committed to a peaceful and democratic process ahead of the election.
He mentioned names such as Sunday Biggs and Chief Kefas as experienced politicians with strong grassroots connections in Plateau State.
Hon. Nuru described them as leaders who understand the challenges facing ordinary citizens.
He said such aspirants possess the experience and leadership capacity needed to address insecurity, unemployment, and underdevelopment.
Hon. Nuru Shehu Jos maintained that the PDP remains the hope of Plateau State ahead of 2027. He expressed confidence that the people would once again support the party in their quest for what he described as restoration, unity, and development across the state.
