Shettima Rolls Out Initiative to Stimulate Job Growth

Vice President Kashim Shettima recently inaugurated the Outsource To Nigeria Initiative (OTNI) and commissioned the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) center in Gombe.

This initiative aims to generate millions of job opportunities in Nigeria by propelling the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and IT-enabled services sector to unprecedented growth.

During the unveiling ceremony, Shettima emphasized that OTNI represents a crucial partnership between the public and private sectors, aimed at connecting global companies with the abundant talent pool in Nigeria.

He highlighted that this strategic move positions Nigeria as an emerging outsourcing powerhouse, ready to make a significant impact on the global economic stage.

Shettima underscored the economic significance of outsourcing, noting that it goes beyond mere efficiency, but also recognizes the interconnectedness of nations in the global economy.

He said OTNI symbolises a pivotal alliance and a collaboration between the public and private sectors.

He pointed out that the global BPO industry, valued at over $250 billion, presents an opportunity to position Nigeria as the top destination for large companies seeking operational optimization.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya echoed Shettima’s sentiments, emphasizing that the commissioning of the Gombe BPO center in partnership with Outsource Global marks a transformative journey towards positioning Gombe as a premier destination for business process outsourcing in Nigeria.
