The inauguration and formal passing-out ceremony were conducted by the Plateau State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). This reflects the importance of professional training, institutional collaboration, and community participation in addressing security concerns.

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, was represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Usman Ephraim Gar, who served as the Reviewing Officer. The Governor commended Hon. Anani for his foresight and practical commitment to strengthening the security architecture of Wase LGA.
The Governor applauded the initiative as a commendable example of grassroots leadership. He encouraged the remaining 16 Local Government Council Chairmen in Plateau State to draw inspiration from the Wase experience. He said similar initiatives would complement the state’s broader efforts towards securing lives and property.
The Plateau State Commandant of the NSCDC charged the newly graduated officers to uphold professionalism, discipline, integrity, and dedication. He reminded them that the trust placed in them by the people must be reflected in their conduct and respect for human rights.
The Emir of Wase, His Royal Highness Dr. Mohammed Sambo Haruna, also commended the Executive Chairman for his continued commitment to addressing insecurity. He acknowledged the importance of the initiative and its potential contribution to strengthening community confidence.

Hon. Anani charged the trained personnel to uphold discipline, respect for human rights, intelligence gathering, non-partisanship, collaboration, and community trust. He said: “The true measure of your success will not be the uniform you wear, but the lives you help protect, the conflicts you help prevent and the peace you help sustain.”
The Chairman reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting legitimate efforts aimed at strengthening the security architecture of Wase. He said the council will continue to encourage stakeholder engagement and promote community participation in intelligence sharing and conflict prevention.
The passing out of 140 officers and the provision of 25 motorcycles and two patrol Hilux vehicles demonstrate that the security of Wase remains a priority of Hon. Anani’s administration. The newly trained officers are expected to serve with honour, operate within the law, and remain committed to the safety of every community across Wase Local Government Area.
