Wase congratulates Senate President Lawan @ 62
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase has congratulated President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan on the occasion of his 62nd birthday.
Wase, in a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma described the senate president as “a conscionable leader and consummate politician”
“I join millions of Nigerians and lovers of democracy and good governance worldwide to rejoice with the President of the Nigerian Senate and chairman of the National Assembly, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Ahmad Lawan as he clocks 62 years of age.
“On an occasion like this, I must acknowledge the leadership qualities and invaluable contributions of Senator Ahmad Lawan, a conscionable leader and consummate politician who places nation above any other consideration in his quest to serve his fatherland”.
The Deputy Speaker commended the Senate President for effectively leading “one of the most peaceful, result-oriented and pragmatic Senate in the history of the nation’s parliament.
He said “being an astute administrator, ingenious lawmaker, perfect gentleman, patriotic politician, and charismatic leader, Senator Lawan has steadied the apex chamber, maintaining mutual respect and collaboration with the other arms of government without compromising the independence of the parliament”
Wase noted that as one of the presiding officer in the 9th Assembly, he has enjoyed the cordial relationship that exists between the House and the Senator Lawan-led Senate.
He said “As you celebrate today, may Allah grant you good health, renewed strength, and wisdom to steer the ship of leadership in the Senate and continue to contribute your quota to the sustenance of our democracy and development of the nation”
