Wase gets the Skills Acquisition Centre for visually impaired.
Muhammad Suleiman Sarkin Makafi of Wase the Vulnerable group leader tells Hausa360 editor on Friday that a visually impaired group called Sarkin Makafi Vulnerable Group completed the project of constructing Skills Acquisition Center in Wase Town of Plateau State.
The project includes the building of skills acquisition center, drilling of the motorized boreholes and 3 lock-up shops assisted by the Plateau State Community and Social Development Project.
At the community level, the center commissioned by His Royal Highness Dr. Muhammad Sambo Emir of Wase and he promised to offer active supports to the group as a leader.
The Acquisition Center focused on training for visually impaired and Vulnerable people on producing locally made sanitizers, air fresheners, petroleum jelly, liquid detergent, soap, bead making and office and home chairs.
Sarkin Makafi said the center is typically operating like normal daily working hours in a week excluding Friday and Sunday to allow both the Muslim and the Cristian trainees to worship.
Also, Sarkin Makafi added, the creation of center help handicapped and the community from street begging he also call-on Non-governmental organization and Other establishments to provide more support that will help in achieving the goal for banning street begging in the country from the local, state level and the federal government.
