Our Minister, Our Proide: Well-Done Adamu Adamu

This write-up is an appreciation to the audience recently accorded to the national body of Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU),by the Honourable Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu.

Indeed, it wasn’t the mere audience that inspired me or impressed the national body but the level of humility, simplicity, frankness, decorum, respect for human dignity and above all high level of seriousness and commitment to issues of national interest presented and discussed.

There was an important issue among others that emanated from the meeting which for sure has serious impact for betterment of NCE, Colleges of Education and Education in Nigeria at large, which has been in shambles over decades. This, I think will be one of the important legacies Malam will be remembered for.

We in the North East, it is a pride to have the calibre of Malam from the zone, a person with morality who doesn’t have records of politicising his office for personal gain or aggrandisement.

While wishing Malam a very successful tenure, the zone will be more proud of him, if he puts more efforts in addressing all the issues discussed between him and our national body.
