GOVERNOR BALA CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY IN GRAND STYLE
His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has today celebrated the International Girl Child Day in a grand style calling on Nigerians to support girl child education.
The Governor however vacated his seat for a moment to a 14-year-old-girl Aisha Katagum to commemorate the day.
Katagum served as Bauchi State acting governor for minutes and was anticipated to make policy pronouncements.
According to the governor his administration will continue to support girl child education by providing conducive atmosphere to both teachers and pupils in schools across the state.
Raising and protecting children, the leaders of tomorrow, according to Governor Bala is a collective responsibility hence the need to support his administration’s plan to ensuring no gender is abused.
Governor Bala had during the occasion reiterated his administration’s commitment towards executing more developmental projects that will improve the living standard of citizens of the state particularly children.
He said hundred of schools have been renovated across the state and more classroom blocks will be built and furnished.
