Ongoing Clash Between Bello Turji’s Gang and Vigilante Groups in Zamfara

A fierce confrontation has erupted in Zamfara State between armed men loyal to notorious bandit leader Bello Turji and local vigilante groups, popularly known as yan Sakai.

According to reports from Zagazola Makama on Twitter (X), the armed men invaded Fadamar Tara, a farming community, displacing farmers and attempting to assert control over the area. The attack forced residents to flee for safety, leaving their livelihoods behind.

In response, vigilante groups swiftly mobilised and engaged Turji’s gang in a bid to defend the community and reclaim the territory. Eyewitness accounts reveal that the clash has escalated into intense battles, with both sides exchanging heavy firepower.
