Nigeria Gears Up for 2025 International Air Show: NAF and Aviation Ministry Join Forces

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development to host the Nigeria International Air Show in 2025.

According to a statement by Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, the collaboration was solidified during a courtesy visit by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, to the minister’s office in Abuja.

Air Marshal Abubakar revealed that NAF had initially been planning an independent air show but decided to join forces with the ministry upon learning of its similar initiative. He emphasized that this unified approach would amplify the event’s global appeal and impact.

Minister Keyamo lauded the collaboration as a transformative step for Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace industries, highlighting its potential to showcase the nation’s capabilities on an international stage.

To ensure smooth execution, an eight-member committee comprising representatives from both the ministry and NAF has been established. This team will handle logistics, international collaborations, and stakeholder engagement.

The 2025 Nigeria International Air Show, scheduled to take place in Lagos, aims to attract global aviation and aerospace players, including manufacturers, investors, regulators, and enthusiasts. It will serve as a platform to display advanced technologies, foster partnerships, and explore opportunities for innovation and economic growth in the sector.
