Families Mourn After Jos North Attack

The Gari Ya Waye community in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North, is in mourning following a tragic attack on Sunday, 29th March 2026, which claimed several lives and left many injured. Families in the area are grieving the loss of loved ones and struggling to come to terms with the sudden violence.
Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang condemned the attack as unprovoked and barbaric, assuring residents that security agencies are working to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice. A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in Jos North Local Government Area, effective from 12 midnight on 29th March to 1st April 2026, to ensure the safety of residents and support ongoing investigations.
Community leaders are calling on residents to remain calm, stay vigilant, and provide any information that could help security agencies in their investigation.
