Bauchi University donates 50 cartons of hand sanitizers to the State Government

The Bauchi State University has donated 50 cartons of hand sanitizers to the State Task Force on COVID-19 according to the statement by Muktar Gidado Senior Special Assistant Media to the State Governor said

“Speaking shortly after handing over the items, Dr Yahaya Katagum who represented the Vice Chancellor of the University, said the university deemed its necessary to provide the sanitizers and other materials as part of support to the ongoing fight against coronavirus.”

He said the university has already taken steps to assist the state government to control the menace of COVID-19 virus in the state.

” Universities are the bedrock of research and knowledge, so in this respect and with the outbreak of COVID-19, the university has taken steps to come forward and assist authorities tackle the menace of the virus.

” In this respect, the university deemed its necessary to provide hand sanitizers and other materials and we will continue to contribute in several ways.

He said currently, some of the scientifics are in laboratories to come up with a plan for further support and assured the state government of the support of the university at all the times.

The State Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela who is the Chairman of the Task Force on COVID-19 applauded the university for the gesture.

Senator Baba Tela had earlier while addressing journalists announced the discharged 3 of patients of Coronavirus in the state.
