Bello El-Rufai Dumps APC For ADC

Member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency, Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress and defected to the African Democratic Congress.

The lawmaker disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday, noting that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, formally announced his resignation letter during plenary.

Bello El-Rufai said he would seek re-election to continue representing the people of Kaduna North under the ADC platform.

He also revealed that two other lawmakers, Hon. Suleiman Richifa representing Soba and Hon. Umar Ajilo representing Makarfi/Kudan, had also joined the ADC from their former political parties.

According to him, the decision to leave the APC was carefully considered and motivated by the desire to build a progressive and people-oriented political movement.

The lawmaker, who described himself as a proud son of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, assured constituents that he remains committed to quality representation and continued development projects in Kaduna North.

Bello El-Rufai further announced plans to unveil an ad hoc committee for his recently introduced Primary Health Care initiative aimed at supporting health centres with medical supplies.
