Ex-Super Eagles Stars Grace Launch of ‘Back to Bars’ Campaign

Former Nigerian internationals, including Victor Agali, Ifeanyi Udeze, and Jonathan Akpoborie, were among top football figures present at the launch of a new fan-focused campaign by Goldberg Lager Beer tagged “Back to Bars.”
The event, held in Lagos, also attracted media stakeholders and football enthusiasts, highlighting the continued influence of former Super Eagles players in the country’s football culture.
Organisers said the campaign aims to reconnect with fans at local viewing centres, especially bars, where many Nigerians gather to watch football matches.
Under the initiative, customers who buy two bottles of Goldberg at participating outlets will receive instant airtime rewards and qualify for weekly raffle draws. At the end of the campaign, 10 winners will be selected for all-expenses-paid trips to watch the Super Eagles live in either the United Kingdom or Lisbon.
Speaking at the launch, Senior Brand Manager at Nigerian Breweries Plc, Kunle Aroyehun, said the campaign reflects how Nigerians experience football today, offering both immediate rewards and long-term incentives.
Also speaking, Head of Marketing Communications, Sandra Amachree, noted that the initiative recognises the vital role bars play in shaping football culture in Nigeria.
Organisers confirmed that the “Back to Bars” campaign is already underway nationwide, with weekly draws and real-time updates to ensure transparency and boost participation.
