Nasir El-Rufai Debunks Rumors of Rejoining PDP, Labels Reports as Fake News
Former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has publicly refuted claims circulating on social media regarding his alleged rejoining of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement shared via his verified social media account, El-Rufai described the reports as “fake news” and urged the public to disregard them. He expressed his dismay over the spread of what he called “patent lies and rumors” about his political affiliation.
El-Rufai further disclosed that he has referred the matter to his legal team for action against those spreading the false information.
“FAKE NEWS ALERT: Please disregard the patent lies and rumors about my political affiliation. I have referred the lead peddlers of the fake news for further action by my lawyers,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the rumors had sparked jubilation among some political enthusiasts, as seen in posts celebrating the alleged defection in Kaduna. However, El-Rufai’s clarification has set the record straight, reaffirming his stance on the matter.
