Governor Bala Mohammed commends U.S for supporting Nigeria in fighting against COVID-19

According to the statement that made available to Hausa360 Editor on Tuesday through Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor said

“His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala A. Mohammed has this evening made a phone call with the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Her Excellency, Ambassador Mary Leonard.”

“In the conversation, Governor Bala Mohammed commended the United States for her supports and assistance to Nigeria in the ongoing fight against the COVID-19 in the country.”

“The Governor intimated Her Excellency, Ambassador Leonard on the state’s interventions and efforts to address gaps and areas of further engagements in fighting the spread of the virus.”

“Governor Bala Mohammed also commended the efforts of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in the state for their support to states to overcome their challenges.”

“Ambassador Leonard noted with satisfaction, the exemplary leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed and expressed confidence in his administration’s ability to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.”

“The ambassador, therefore, extended a goodwill message to the governor on behalf of the government and people of the United States.”
