Bauchi Governor to provide palliative to victims of fire at Muda Lawal market
The Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has pledged to provide palliative to the victims of fire disaster at Muda Lawal market in the state capital according to the Special Assistant New Media to Governor statement said
“The governor made the pledge when he led security heads and other top government officials on a sympathy visit to the victims.”
“Senator Bala Mohammed directed for immediate palliative to be provided through the State Emergency Management Agency to cushion the effects of the losses.”
“He sympathized with the victims on behalf of the state government and appealed to them to consider the incident as an of God.”
” On behalf of myself, the people and Government of Bauchi State we came to sympathize with you over this incident in our biggest Market in Bauchi State.
” There is nothing we can do to stop what happened here rather than to say we are being tested by the Almighty Allah. The State Government will make sure it cushion the effects of the losses by bringing palliative immediately.”
On Coronavirus, the governor enjoined Traders and Artisans Association to support the State Government in its commitment to control and tackle the spread of the virus.
The Chairman of the Muda Lawal market, Alhaji Bala Mai Kaji who welcomed the governor to the market, expressed gratitude to him for pledging to come to the aid of the victims.
According to him, so far 17 shops were affected with one death.
