David Mark and Governor Bala flags off construction of three new roads

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed today alongside a former President of the Senate, Mr. David Mark has flagged off the design and construction of three rural road projects in Bauchi State worth N7.3 billion.

Speaking at the occasion, Governor Bala said the roads are pivotal to development hence his administration’s passion for road design and construction projects.

He said the good road is key to effective governance thus his administration has embarked on massive construction of roads across the state.

The Governor promised that the state government under his leadership will continue to execute developmental projects that will ensure the advancement of the state.

He thanked the former Nigerian President of the Senate for honoring his invitation to attend the occasion and expressed gratitude to him for the support rendered to him when he was in the Senate.

Mark while flagging off the rural road projects at a groundbreaking ceremony in Warji on Tuesday, stressed the need for inclusive governance that has the welfare of the grassroots people at heart.

He said if democratic government is to thrive in the country then the construction of accessible roads particularly to open up rural communities must be a priority.

Mr. David Mark who flagged off the construction exercise on behalf of Governor Bala commended the Governor for embarking on the construction of roads, particularly rural roads.

The former President of the Nigerian Senate said opening up the rural areas will bring development closer to the people and urged him to do more until all rural communities were linked up to development.

The road projects are Warji-Gwaram, Bogoro -Lusa, and Boi-Tapshin in Warji, Bogoro, and Tafawa Balewa local government areas of the State.

The flagging off ceremony had in attendance, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela, Emirs of Bauchi and Ningi, State lawmakers, Honorable Commissioners among others.
