BREAKING: 17 Lawmakers Defect From ADC To NDC

Seventeen members of Nigeria’s House of Representatives have officially defected from the African Democratic Congress to the Nigerian Democratic Congress.
The defections were announced during Tuesday’s plenary session at the National Assembly.
The development comes barely a day after former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and former presidential candidate of the NNPP, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, also dumped the ADC for the NDC, adding a new dimension to political alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Also during the plenary, lawmaker Leke Abejide announced his defection from the ADC to the All Progressives Congress.
The lawmakers who moved to the NDC include Yusuf Datti, Uchenna Okonkwo, Adamu Wakili, Thaddeus Attah, George Ozodinobi, Lilian Orogbu, Oluwaseyi Sowunmi, Peter Aniekwe, Mukhtar Zakari, George Oluwande and Munachim Umezuruike.
Others are Emeka Idu, Jesse Onuakalusi, Ifeanyi Uzokwe, Afam Ogene and Abdulhakeem Ado.
