Ahmed Idris Maje Oversees Sallah Gifts Distribution by Governor Caleb Mutfwang

Amirul Hajj Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Maje supervised the distribution of Sallah gifts to Plateau pilgrims and monitored preparations for their return to Nigeria.

MAKKAH, SAUDI ARABIA – The Amirul Hajj for the 2026 Hajj exercise, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Maje, has supervised the distribution of Sallah gifts donated by Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, to pilgrims from the state in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Speaking during the exercise, Ahmed Idris Maje thanked Allah for the opportunity to serve the pilgrims and witness the distribution of the gifts. He described the gesture as a demonstration of Governor Mutfwang’s inclusive leadership and commitment to the welfare of all citizens of Plateau State.

The Amirul Hajj recalled that Governor Caleb Mutfwang had earlier provided free Ihram materials to all Plateau pilgrims before their departure for the Holy Land.

He said the governor’s continued support reflects his concern for the welfare of pilgrims and his commitment to ensuring a successful Hajj exercise for Plateau State.

Ahmed Idris Maje encouraged the pilgrims to make good use of the gifts and continue praying for Plateau State, Nigeria, their families, and loved ones during their stay in the Holy Land.

The Amirul Hajj also commended the Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Hon. Daiyabu Dauda, for his leadership throughout the exercise.

He praised the Board Chairman, Alhaji Danladi Kwari, board members, and management staff for their dedication, unity, and professionalism in handling the 2026 Hajj operations.

According to him, the current leadership of the board has demonstrated commitment and efficiency in serving Plateau pilgrims.Ahmed Idris Maje also supervised the tagging, weighing, and evacuation of luggage belonging to pilgrims scheduled for the first return flight to Nigeria.

He expressed satisfaction with the process and commended officials involved in ensuring a smooth operation.

Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary of the Pilgrims Welfare Board, Hon. Daiyabu Dauda, assured pilgrims that the board remains committed to their welfare and safe return home. He disclosed that all arrangements had been completed in collaboration with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to facilitate the return journey.

According to Daiyabu Dauda, the first and second return flights for Plateau pilgrims are scheduled for June 9, 2026, while the final flight is expected to depart on June 11, 2026, Insha Allah.

He appreciated Ahmed Idris Maje for his support and encouragement throughout the Hajj exercise. He also thanked government officials and stakeholders who contributed to the success of the operation.

The distribution of Sallah gifts and the successful coordination of luggage evacuation highlight the ongoing efforts of Plateau State officials to ensure the comfort and welfare of pilgrims. As preparations for the return journey continue, the leadership of the Pilgrims Welfare Board remains focused on delivering a smooth and successful conclusion to the 2026 Hajj exercise.
