GITEX Nigeria Set for September 2026
Nigeria to host West Africa’s largest technology and startup event across Abuja and Lagos.

GITEX Nigeria 2026 is scheduled to hold from September 7 to 10, 2026, in Abuja and Lagos, bringing together government leaders, global technology companies, startups, investors, and innovators from across Africa and beyond.
The event will begin on September 7 in Abuja with the GITEX Nigeria Government Leadership and AI Summit. The summit is expected to unite government officials, policymakers, and international technology executives to discuss digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and innovation-driven governance.
Organizers described the event as part of efforts to position Nigeria as West Africa’s gateway to digital growth and emerging technologies.
From September 9 to 10, activities will continue at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, where major global technology companies including IBM, MTN, Cisco, and Space42 are expected to participate.
The conference will focus on innovation, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
At the Landmark Centre in Lagos, GITEX Nigeria will host what organizers describe as West Africa’s largest platform connecting startups, investors, and technology buyers. The initiative aims to strengthen the region’s startup ecosystem and encourage investment opportunities for emerging businesses.
The programme will also feature FDX Nigeria on September 10 at Eko Hotel. The platform will focus on promoting financial inclusion and digital finance innovation across West Africa.
Among the announced speakers are Sadiq Abu, Chief Executive Officer of Absa Capital Markets Nigeria, and Krishnan Ranganath, Regional Executive for West Africa at Africa Data Centre.
Industry stakeholders expect the conference to attract key decision-makers, innovators, and investors from different sectors of the digital economy.
GITEX Nigeria 2026 is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s role as a regional technology hub while providing opportunities for collaboration, investment, and innovation within West Africa’s growing digital ecosystem.
