Plateau Rising Again – Gov Mutfwang at 3 Years

Governor Caleb Mutfwang marks third anniversary in office. He says Plateau is rising again despite challenges in security, economy, and legal battles.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has marked his third anniversary in office today. He expressed deep gratitude to God and the people of Plateau State for their trust, support, and resilience. The governor acknowledged challenges including insecurity, economic hardship, attacks on communities, and political distractions. He declared that Plateau is rising again.

Governor Mutfwang said his administration has revitalised Operation Rainbow, a state security outfit. The government has recruited and trained over 2,000 community volunteers. It has strengthened collaboration with security agencies and deployed modern surveillance technology. These steps have improved intelligence gathering and response across the state.

The governor said his administration remains committed to restoring dignity and hope to displaced communities. He highlighted rebuilding efforts and humanitarian support initiatives across affected local governments. These efforts aim to help those who lost homes due to conflicts.

In education, the government reduced tuition fees by 50 percent for Plateau indigenes in state-owned tertiary institutions. It increased scholarship funding, renovated and constructed classrooms, and expanded opportunities for students within and outside Nigeria.

Governor Mutfwang said the Plateau Specialist Hospital has been upgraded with modern equipment. The government recruited qualified medical personnel, expanded health insurance coverage, and improved healthcare facilities across the state.

The administration launched the Tin City Metro Transport Service and partnered with airline operators to ease transportation burdens. In agriculture, the government focused on recovery of farmlands, distribution of subsidised fertilisers, mechanised farming support, and ongoing agro-processing projects.

Across the state, road construction projects, water schemes, rural electrification initiatives, tourism development, urban renewal projects, and environmental sanitation efforts are gradually transforming communities. The governor said these projects lay stronger foundations for the future.

Governor Mutfwang acknowledged that the administration has not yet reached the mountaintop, but it is no longer in the valley. He called on Plateau people to continue their support, unity, and faith. He concluded that Plateau is rising again and will keep moving forward toward a more peaceful, stronger, and prosperous future for all.
